Basic point being made is that those on the Right have a tendency to issue statements as the substance of their side of political and cultural debate. Those on the Left have a tendency to do a deeper dive, owing to the countless opinions, considerations, etc typically at play in policy. Avoiding in-depth discussions, over-generalizing, ignoring important details, etc. may be a preferred approach, but doing so is hardly an ideal negotiation strategy--if mutually beneficial outcomes are the objective. Small agreements/compromises have value, too. Broad pronouncements which ignore essential interests, opinions, needs, expectations, etc aren't likely to produce effective policies or even move negotiations another step forward. We need more than that
